Kenya tourist visa

Kenyavisa — documents, fees, and processing time.

Kenya issues e-Visas valid for up to 90 days (single entry, extendable inside the country). Each adult traveller must submit an application through their personal eCitizen account.

Documents required

What we need to process a Kenya tourist visa.

  • Clear and valid passport copy of client (minimum validity of 6 months prior to arrival/travel).
  • Passport-sized coloured picture.
  • Clear passport copy of the bio-data page.
  • Travel itinerary (places to visit if going as tourist).
  • Hotel bookings.
  • At least one blank page in the holder’s passport.
  • Return tickets.

  • Tourist Visa: Issued for a period of stay not exceeding 90 days. Can be extended.

If the visa application is rejected by the Kenya Immigration Department the charges are non-refundable.

Agents must make the applicable payments to Eros Africa before any visa applications are made on their behalf.

Cancellations

Cancellations and no-shows.

Visa fees in the event of cancellation or no-show are non-refundable.

Processing timeline

2–3 working days, urgent options available.

  • Visa applications submitted to Immigration take approximately 2 to 3 working days to process (excluding weekends and public holidays).
  • Agents requiring urgent visas must contact Eros Africa directly. Additional charges apply for urgent applications.
  • Eros Africa Visa Team take no responsibility for any delays that may arise in the visa application process.

Visa conditions

Conditions you and your clients must accept.

  • Tourist visas are issued by the Kenya Immigration Authorities.
  • Each adult visitor to the Republic of Kenya is required to submit eVisa applications in their personal eCitizen account. Parents can apply for their children in the parents’ account.
  • A visa is required prior to entry into the Republic of Kenya.

Important details

A few things to keep in mind.

  • Issuance of visas is subject to the sole approval of the Kenya Immigration Department.
  • Government fees are subject to change and are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Possession of a visa is not the final authority to enter the Republic of Kenya.
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected.
