Four-Day Safari to Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara
-
This tour give you an experience of Lake Nakuru, a well known bird watchers paradise as well as Maasai Mara, which is the most famous National Reserve in Kenya.
The massive population of Flamingos is the main drawcard, but there is also an abundance of other wildlife waiting to be discovered. Lying in the volcano-strewn Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru is one of a chain of 8 lakes which stretch the length of Kenya from Tanzania to Ethiopia.
Maasai Mara with its abundance of wildlife is renowned for its good game viewing. It sustains all of the “Big Five” – elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard as well an astonishing wealth of other game. Often a whole range of different species is in view at one time. Each year, usually in July/August the Mara is host to millions of wildebeest who migrate north from Serengeti. The marvelous wide open views and interplay of light and shadow are themselves worth a visit to the Mara.
Spend two nights in the famous reserve allowing you plenty of time to start ticking off the "Big Five" (Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard, Lion and Rhinoceros) or even the "Big Nine" (Cheetah, Zebra, Giraffe and Hippo). If wildlife is what you came to Kenya for, look no further.
